Have you considered the option of making the cockpit “lid” slide forward and backward on bottom mounted rails, inside of hinged.

You should consider an 8 into 1 header setup. It would really make this thing sound as good as it's looking. Great work guys. This thing is going to be amazing.

That "shaft" section is called a fuselage on airplanes which i find fitting considering the theme here. Beatiful car man!

I’m trying to keep faith that I’ll eventually like the car. The rendering looks cool. So far it just looks super long and very heavy. Looks like it’ll be 4000 lbs at the end of it.

Looks amazing. You should get an English wheel to add in some creases in the metal to make it stronger. Otherwise the whole body will rattle a lot when you are driving with just plain sheet steel

You should put some big 10" Induction fans in the vents so at low speed where the overheating is an issue you can turn those on an keep a nice evaluation rate while parked:)

I’m going to be so honest I am super jealous of you. I’m trying to build something similar except I’m stuck with cheap tools, still learning different skills, and being SUPER young. Seeing you successfully build this makes me jealous and also kick myself for not cranking out my own 10ft long full aluminum frame f1 car

Love it, trust in the render! Those forks you mentioned are on modern F1 cars to help direct the air flow as it enters the underside of the car (where they make most of their downforce from groundeffect). Make it a flat bottom and put a wicked rear diffuser on it! :)
