This video includes two demonstrations of Insulon® advanced vacuum insulation using three optical systems: a regular camera, a thermal camera, and a Schlieren setup.

In the first demo, hot air (650°C) is transported through two tubes. The first tube is built with Insulon® advanced vacuum insulation. The second tube is uninsulated. Insulon® retains heat inside the tube, conserves energy, and reduces external surface temperature.

In the second demo, LN2 (-196°C) evaporates from two open-top cans. The first can is built with Insulon® advanced vacuum insulation, and the other can is uninsulated. The LN2 quickly evaporates from the uninsulated can. The Insulon® can slows down the boil-off, helping to conserve LN2.

This product is totally irrelevant for me personally, but I'm a huge nerd for Schlieren photography. Really enjoyed this demonstration.

So can you make an exhaust pipe using this technology? Wonder if you could boost engine performance this way...

That performance is just flat out ridiculous.
