Your Identity is Your Superpower | Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month

Growing up, I was never someone who really cared about my culture. However, in the past few years, I've gained a tremendous amount of invaluable and humbling experiences. By learning to understand my cultural identity, learn about my parents' struggles, learn about my community, I've been able to grow and share my love in ways unimaginable.

In celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month in 2023, I will give cheesy motivating words with even more cheesy motivating background music on what it means to love who you are and embrace your differences.

I think the I for Islander is throwing me a bit and may be more obvious in the US. I'm from England, where I know you have visited recently and hope you enjoyed yourself. This is the first time I've come across this acronym. Before I ask this question, I know this may come across as stupid to those in the know. Does the I relate to islands off the continent of Asia, islands of the US or some other meaning?
