One thing i love is the shopping list, for anyone in the house to be able to add things to the shopping list by voice and then the list being available to everyone on the phone is a game changer. No more lost lists, lists going through the wash, forgetting things at the shop etc.

Great Vid! ... Thanks for the Tech Tip! I didn’t know you could add an Echo to your light group and just say Turn the Lights On instead of calling out the specific room! Nice! 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Craig, maybe you can help me . I’m trying to setup a routine for 7am week days to turn on 2 echos at the same time to a radio station. Each echo are in different rooms, they are in a group called downstairs. The only way I can find to do is to set up 2 routines ie 1 for each echo. Unfortunately there’s a slight delay between them. Both echos aren’t far from each other so you can hear the delay.

How did you set up the light thing. Where you added the Alexa to the routine. I tried that and it didn’t recognize the light. It’s called bedroom light. But if I say turn on the light it, that’s what it doesn’t recognize.

Do you run your devices Spotify. We use Amazon music and because we got a second echo we now have to pay more. Is this the same with Spotify and other things?

Just added some linkable LED lights to the garage . Connected them them all to a tp link plug. Now when I pull in to the drive way then come on automatically using the arrive routine on my Alexa app.

Craig have a question if I tell my echo show to shut off the screen I found that if my ring doorbell gets set off the echo screen comes back on. Is there anything I can do to keep it off especially when I’m out ?

I just want one simple Alexa command, like “Alexa turn off lights IN XX MINUTES”.
At night I am always searching around for my IPad, phone, empty coffee cups etc before going to bed and I need light to do that. Sometimes I forget to turn the lights off, being able to delay the execution of a command would be great.
Yes I know I can program in a definite time to turn the lights off but the DELAY feature would be great.

Hey Craig is there a video you have done comparing all the streaming apps for echo ? I was really excited for Apple Music but I’m starting to think Spotify believe it or not may be the best app. I could be wrong but I think it has more advantages and better features for the echo

I wake up in the morning and say "Alexa wakey wakey" she responds with "eggs and bakey. I'll get the coffee started. You'll have to get the eggs and bakey yourself" followed by the weather. All this while she is turning on the lights in the kitchen and the living room. And turning on the coffee maker.
