As a Ridley player i can inform you that its almost useless. I cant think of one application for it unless youre blocking a strong projectile with a low shield, as you can always shield or dodge. Even considering a low shield you can always parry. (Edit, its actually a decent idea against shield breakers ig, but even then avoiding shield breakers isnt hard...)

This also works against Little Mac's K.O. Punch which is considered a grab attack to go through shields and counters. The only thing I wonder if Ridley can punish it with Fsmash
