"A small Union Territory of India having area of nearly 32 sqkm has caught everyone's attention since last two days. Several Islanders are taking it to Twitter and other social media platforms to highlight their voices and their concern. Many from Kerala including sports stars politicians and filmmakers, actors, actresses are lending their support to the call and expressing their concern. Kerala politicians have even written to President Ramnath Kovind about the issue and have asked him to look into the matter. So much so that some politicians have even alleged that the Union Territory is being converted into another Kashmir.

The Tiny Island of Lakshdweep just 200 odd km away from Kochi boasts of Blue, Crystal clear waters and Pristine beaches. It is one of the major tourist attractions but the very island is now seeking national attention and that too for political reason. In the largely peaceful island, Protests have erupted since last few days. Reason? The Administration wants to bring sweeping reforms in the Island for what it calls ""Development"" but the critics say that the reforms are authoritarian in nature and will lead to a destruction of Cultural diversity and Traditions of the Island.
