How to Paint a Mountain in Acrylics

In this video, I demonstrate how to paint a mountain landscape in acrylics and give some tips on painting low-chroma mountain colours.

In this painting, I used loose, expressive brushwork and allowed the warm, burnt sienna underpainting to come through the paint layers.

This painting is inspired by the mountains around Queenstown in southern New Zealand.

Wonderful painting showing the light and shadows. I love your work. Just as a suggestion for painting videos I know myself I like to see how you are mixing paint, pulling the paint onto your brush. Give us your list of paint colors on the screen instead of repeating these over and over. I get lost in the paint names rather than focusing on how to paint. Love your work. Thank you in advance.
