How to Build an Exo Mech Arena

the best and probably the easiest strategy is to use shrimpy truffle. If you havent gotten one already, you will need to defeat duke fishron in expert/revengeance mode or higher. It is a 100% chance drop. With post Yharom gear, this should be a complete pushover. Then, make sure to scout a line up in the world where you could fly from one side of the world to another, without any solid blocks in your way. If you fight them during the rain, and just keep moving horizontally, you should be able to no hit most part of the fight. Do keep in mind that the later phases, especially thanatos, do need some more dodging. Using asgards valor or one of its upgrades will allow you to stay close to his head, and when you get stuck between his body, just dash right through him. The easiest is to start with ares. I recommend starting on the right because of apollo and artemis, but ares's tesla cannon could give a little bit of trouble. To avoid this, make sure to get off the mount and use your wings to dodge a bit vertically. It might be nice to set up a few platforms to refresh your flight mid fight. When artemis and apollo come in, mostly stay horizontal, but try to dodge a few attacks vertically. Target the green eye. When all 3 of them are on the screen, you only need to hold one direction the entire time. Then you should go 1 on 1 with apollo and artemis. Always move away from the green eye. Once the red eye does its laser, wich it should only do once in total with post yharon damage, just take the hit. Its the only attack this strat cant avoid, so make sure you can take the hit. When you enter the next phase, target ares. The shrimpy truffle should keep you covered for most attacks, but the tesla cannon can deal a lot of damage, so its best to always move away from the bottom gun thats about to fire. For his big laser attack, just keep moving horizontally and you should be good. And finally thanatos. Keep checking your map to see what side he is on, and use a mid air dash to quicly change direction. When he uses his lasers, stay close to his head, and slowly keep moving. If you get stuck between his body, you can dash through it no problem. Keep your flight time in mind the entire fight however, as it is crucial for a few attacks to come out unharmed. This should be an easy fight overall. Hope this helps!

I can only imagine that MAD mode was very tiring for you, but have you thought about playing infernium mode? i still think it will be more fair than MAD

The Exos aren't hardcore-wise difficult, but with post-yharon gear dealing sub-par DPS it takes a significantly longer time to make it to the next phases.

Yharon's arena should suffice for some, but due to taking more time to chip the Exos' HP you're forced to endure more of the 200+ damage and eventually wearing you down to exhaustion, leaving you more vulnerable when the next phase begins.

In this case I had no choice but to use Scal drops, and that's not even a big of a guarantee since you'd need to consistently move in differing patterns.

In conclusion, whoever put the Exos before Scal in the boss checklist: I am inside your walls

In normal mode, I can beat them consistently without an arena. In higher difficulties though, it becomes necessary to have a large space. I normally just use the Nohit world (Elysium) from Joey (provided in Nohit rules google docs) but you can also use a universal collapse to destroy a whole world, then use cheat sheet to make hammered platform rows. (I don't use cheat sheet to destroy world because it's too laggy.)

My biggest problem with the exo mechs is that I can't tells where their attacks are, especially on Apollo and Artemis

I dont know if this is considered cheating or not, but i use the 'Quick fall platform' or something, basically whan you press down you will ignore platform as like they are minecarts, and serve normally when down key isnt pressed. I do think this is a qol stuff but maybe to some of you this is considered cheating and unfair

I just used city busters in the (Ug) of corruption and then used a mini-insta bridges and destroyed the planetoids and sky islands that would cause me to get stuck in a powerful attack
