Westhaven Gold (WHN) - Technical Analysis & Due Diligence

Merlin Marr-Johnson sat down with Peter Fischl the Exploration Manager of Westhaven Gold Corp (TSX-V:WHN) to have a technical discussion regarding the company’s assets.

Westhaven Gold Corp is focused solely on the southwestern region of British Columbia on the Spences Bridge Gold Belt. The company owns a 100%-interest in 4 properties within its 35,000 hectares land package, namely its Prospect Valley, Shovelnose, Skoonka Creek and Skoonka North Gold Properties.

The company announced an inaugural mineral resource estimate (MRE) of the Shovelnose gold property at the beginning of 2021, with the highlights of the MRE including 841,000 indicated ounces of gold equivalent at 2.47 g/t and 277,000 Inferred ounces of gold equivalent at 0.94 g/t.

The company is currently underway with an exploration drilling program at the Forget Me Not (FMN) zone of the Shovelnose gold property. The exploration program follows the 40,000 m of drilling completed by the company at the property in 2021.

The company recently published drill results from the ongoing exploration program at the FMN zone. The highlights of the drill results include the interception of 23.03 m of gold mineralisation at a grade of 37.24 g/t gold and 209.52 g/t silver. The intercept includes a 1.12 m region with a mineralisation grade of 294 g/t gold and 2,110 g/t silver. The company believes that this will be the first of many high-grade gold chutes discovered in the FMN zone. The occurrence of numerous high-grade gold chutes is a common occurrence in enriched epithermal systems.

Westhaven Gold Corp. also recently added a second drill at the Alpine zone of the Shovelnose gold property. The aim of the exploration drilling at the Alpine zone is to follow up on high-grade mineralisation previously intercepted at the zone which showed 3.13 m of 45.23 g/t gold and 195.64 g/t silver.
