Got mine in last weekend in time for the weekend outings. Really enjoying the rod so far. Paired it up with the 2020 Metanium. It’s a tough setup to put down. First fish on it was a 4.21 largie up in some shallow tullies/reeds and the rod handled it beautifully. Has great backbone and is still able to load great with 3/8 T-rigged creature bait. Thanks Punch for the informative review. Keep up the good work man! Tight lines.

Thank you so much for this video. I just got my first P5 Destroyer and I was already trying to hunt down the FMJ because I like my Dark Sleeper a ton (even if it's not gonna play for what I wanted it for).

Back to the everlasting search for the right jig rod (that isn't 7'5")

Nice videos. I want to buy my first gloomis or megabass and i kayak fish so i need versatility. What glx/nrx, destroyer would you recommend that can cast lighter Texas rigs yet still be able to handle 3/8 oz jig if it even exists. Prefer a rod 7ft-7ft3. Thanks for the content. Im in the market for a new rod and also looking into the megabass destroyer over the dobyns xtasy. I like to throw 3/8oz bullet weight Trig with senko to 1/4 jigheads with 3 inch ketech. What kind of megabass destroyer rod should i get?

What would you recommend for an all around specifically for jigs rod? Mainly use 1/2-5/8 ounce jigs in all kinds I f cover and open water? Thanks again!

Just stumbled upon your channel and I’m now into binge mode - great work! These videos are exactly what I was looking for and your opinion and analysis is greatly appreciated! I’m thinking of adding a new rod for pitching/skipping jigs and T rigs - thinking of keeping it relatively short, ~7’ give or take and since I don’t have heavy cover and prioritize accuracy - maybe a MH or MH+ power. How’s the trigger on that rod? Is it smaller than other casting rods? I have a daiwa zillion and I hate the trigger on it. It’s to short and doesn’t sit well between my fingers.
