Trying NEEDLE FELTING for the FIRST TIME - Craft Kit Testing Wool Felt

It's my FIRST TIME NEEDLE FELTING!! I tested the Woolpets craft kit for wool felt animals. This one is a felted hedgehog! Needle Felt crafting is relaxing and a great arts & crafts project for beginners to try when you're bored.

I love needle felting I find it very calming. You don't have to cut the wool, if you grab it in both hands you can pull it apart, the fibers are fairly short. I'm sure cutting it works too, I'm always just too lazy to find my scissors lol

I did a needle felting class in high school (it was an art school) and LOVED it. I was just natural at it and found it so calming. Ive been wanting to do it ever since but its a lot more expensive to get everything than I expected. Definitely on my to get list though.

I did Needle Felting when I was younger But my favorite thing to craft was Latch Hook.. That Hedgehog is soo adorable. You did an amazing job for your first time😍

I have a few tip. First is that when you try and pull apart the wool you need to do it very softly.
Second is when you hold it make sure you can see your fingers.
Third is don't poke too deep or you could break the needle. there are lots more but those are the basics

I've never made a good looking 3d animal by needle felting but I have made pictures on embroidery hoops with needle felting. So fun and relaxing. Really good to get your frustrations out too 😊

I love needle felting. I make amigurumi and I use needle felting to make the eyes and any details like stripes or spots .

Here are some helpful needle felting tips: when you roll the wool, make a burrito but then do the same on the other side. And when the wool is done it will be a bit more firm and no little pieces of wool will stick out as much. When stabbing the wool don’t hide your fingers, you can get poked. Don’t go to slow and don’t go to fast when stabbing the wool. I hope this helps. I have never needle felted before but I know this from videos people make for beginners.
