Fly fishing chironomids on lakes can seem a little mysterious if you have never done it. This chironomid fly fishing video has broken down the basic tactics and ideas to help anyone just starting in lake fly fishing become a successful chironomid angler.

In the first segment of this chironomid fishing tactics video I cover the gear and flies needed to begin chironomid fishing. The second section I cover what types of water to fish with chironomids. In the final segment I show you some basic techniques for determining the depth of the water and the retrieval rate when fishing chironomids.

With a Jon boat, generally due to no trolling, can a person get by with a smaller electric motor battery? I’m just gearing up and am kinda hoping not to buy a big Group 31 Lead Acid battery. So my question is can a person maybe look for a smaller battery or maybe a Lithium battery? If so, how many amp hours would ‘generally’ work for buzzing to a few locations to chironomid? Thanks.
