Notch Announced Minecraft 2. Seriously.

Notch, the original creator of Minecraft, had an incredibly interesting statement made today where he effectively announced the development of "Minecraft 2", A spiritual successor to Minecraft.

Minecraft has and always will be at its core a game of building so for a Minecraft V2 it would have to be like a core that gets built upon and will most likely not be much for years so unless he wants to pour years into this it will most likely be like watching a building form otherwise we arn't getting much of a minecraft like game

Oh my god. Minecraft 2 should actually not be happening. Oh no its actually gonna be a huge loss. sandbox games dont need a successor. I already see its fall. It will end up like minecraft earth, legends. The best it can hope for is somewhat of a minecraft dungeons status

I believe that Hytale could have a public beta out late this year, with the game releasing maybe even early or mid 2026
