I just used the idea of only eating within a certain window everyday, then taught myself about the basic properties of food and it's effects on the body. Generally my plan is to keep lean proteins and fiber high, carbs and sat fat low. It's a simple plan but gives a lot of options.

I've been intermittent fasting for years now. I used to be 210lbs but am now plateaued at 120lbs. My "eating window" is only 4 hours a day and usually consists of soups, fish and vegetables.

Just started IF this past week and have found it so much easier to control my diet and how many calories I eat. I actually sometimes find it hard to eat enough calories in the 8 hours. It's a great way to feel full and satisfied rather than only slightly full. Before I would always be hungry even though I ate the same amount.

Intermittent fasting is awesome. I've been doing it for 6 months and eat all my meals within a 6-8hour window and I have dramatically reduced my body fat. I went from 150lbs to 122lbs and I feel way more energetic and healthy. I don't always eat whatever I want in terms of junk (i.e. nachos, ice cream) but I can eat them in moderation without feeling guilty. It sucks that IF isn't mainstream yet because it's the only thing that has worked for me that hasn't made me miserable or give up.

Sarah, IF doesn't mean you eat whatever you want. It's not a diet it's just a timing of when you eat. You can incorporate any diet to If. I'm doing a low carb no sugar no refined whites no soda on IF. I still eat the same healthy foods just between 12/1-9pm. Rest of the night I fast. It's been working

I love green juice. I usually get the bolt house because its what I have access to. I usually drink it in the morning before or after classes. I prefer it in the morning because they are high in sugar. I'm not worried because I do at least 30min of cardio everyday along with strength. And I eat pretty low in sugar anyways throughout the day. It is a better option to coffee for me, because I don't get that crash afterwards.

I do it almost everyday. There are times when work/life calls for me to eat outside the 8 hour window, or I'm just like screw it, I want to eat breakfast. But the majority of the time, I do stick to the 8 hour window.

I like IF because I find it easier to manage. It didn't take long for my body to get used to not eating breakfast and not eating after 8PM. After that, I find that psychologically my days are easier to handle. I have to worry about fewer meals during the day, and the meals are larger so I find them more satisfying.

That being said, I don't agree with that magazine's def'n of IF about eating anything you want. You still have to be within your caloric range (with adequate micros and protein).

I love Simply Choices protein chips for snacking ... I'm not a sweet tooth person but I can go crazy on a bag of potato chips so these are totally perfect for me ... so good!

Thanks Sarah. Most of your videos I find rather dull and exclusive, ( though I'm still a fan because of your health-food love), but this video alongside someone else is more open to ideas along WITH the health aspect. Gave it a Thumbs Up today. Great job! :)
