When it comes to the rising talents in Europe, one name gets rather conveniently ignored. Leroy Sane was snapped up by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola back in 2016 from Schalke 04 for 37 million pounds.

I saw in Sane at City what I saw in Cristiano Ronaldo at Man United. Blistering pace, leaves defenders eating grass, savage finishing and he could hit those long ranged free kicks. I'm definitely going to miss him at the Etihad...

I'm a city fan but he left because they weren't given him enough playing time. Could of played him a sterling together. City struggling while bayern and sane looks amazing.

Well, Sane just got substituted as a substitute in Bayern's last game, so clearly his character issues and mentality didn't have anything to do with City and everything to do with him. He is now sitting on the bench at Bayern. Hope he can bounce back. It would be such a shame to see such a talent go to waste.

Somethings I don't like about Pep is how he treats the players... If he was like Sir Alex, most of the City squad would be playing with less stress to win and would be playing more efficiently

Pep only criticised Sane's work ethic, because he wanted Sterling coming in from the left. The following season he found a spurious reason to drop Bernardo so he could rationalise buying Mahrez. Even though we've had some success, the team has been inferior ever since.

He's a worlclass player and as much as I miss watching him play for City, I'm glad to see that he's starting off well in Germany

What happened between him and Pep? I don't get it at all. Sane was crucial to City's success, he's the best winger I've seen playing on their natural side. Think of the likes of Robben or Di Maria, they weren't as effective playing on the left. Sane by contrast somehow seemed more threatening cutting in from the left than cutting in from the right. Great technique and I think City will suffer from selling him.

Pep made a bad decision with the move, as Sané is an amazing player, and as a liverpool fan, i was scared when he got the ball, as he was spectacular. I hope he is better in Bayern.🙏🏻❤️

For Bayern he has already scored a few times but hasn't shown the explosiveness and quality in dribbling as he did in Manchester.
