Σε αυτό το video καθαρίζω αγνό κερί μέλισσας και δείχνω διάφορες εφαρμογές του στο ξυλουργείο. In this video I render beeswax and show some of it's applications in the woodworking shop.

Thank you Demitrius. I have my own Bee Hives, and so plenty of wax. Just about everything I make gets a wax polish. And thanks for the 'Tip'. I would just plonk the wax in the water boiler to let it melt. Your method of grating to get it to melt quicker is a great idea. I will use it next time I make my polish.

You can build a solar wax melter and purifier on the cheap. Paint the back of a piece of glass recovered from an old window black, make a box and use the glass as its bottom. Use another piece of glass as its lid. Make a small opening in the middle of one edge at the lower part of the box and another on the opposite side at the top. Place the wax inside the box, put the box in the sun, horizontally. Melted wax will start pouring out the opening at the lower part, after a while, and air will flow freely inside the box, through the two openings. The very slow flow will make sure that most impurities will remain on the glass, not flowing into the pot into which you'll collect the wax. The dirt can be scraped off the glass plate, once all usable wax has melted away and the box has cooled again.

Another option is to do the heating and blending in a microwave.

Μια ερώτηση ήθελα να κανω, αυτο το είδος γυαλίσματος κανει και για επιφάνειες οι οποίες έρχονται σε επαφή με τρόφιμα και υγρα (κρυα, ζέστα)για παράδειγμα πιατα, κουταλες, κουπες.
Αν οχι θα ήθελα να μου πείτε ή να μας δειξετε κατι φυσικό.

Απορώ πως τόσα χρόνια πως δεν είχες κηραλοιφη για τα ξύλα σου...😊 Ότι καλύτερο για το ξύλο κ για το δέρμα! Αλλά όχι λινέλαιο στην κηραλοιφη για το δέρμα 😉

Αν βάζαμε οποίο λάδι θελουμε η υπόθεση κεραλοιφη θα ήταν τσιφτετέλι .φαρμακευτικο παραφινέλαιο βάζουμε αγαπητέ.δεν διευκρινίζεις τι παραφινέλαιο βάζουμε.

Αγνό κερί δύσκολα βρίσκεις.στο κέντρο της Αθήνας όσα είδα δεν ήταν αγνό μελισσοκερι.
