I can’t believe I finally have the perfect candidate for the Buford cop car from Smokey and the Bandit. Now if you’ve seen the previous On The Hunt episode 44, I actually found a few decent candidates but they were both ‘76 Pontiac Lemans instead of the ‘77 in the film and even more significant was the fact they had red interiors instead of the movie correct baby blue that was used in the movie so at that time I had decided to park this additional project idea until I could get my hands on the right car and then guess what I stumble upon …

This is just brilliant, Mark. Great luck finding that car in that condition. Those 70s cars rode nice. I had a 79 Mercury Cougar for many years. Still have the hood ornament somewhere.

Mornin Mark, I'm really happy you now have the Buford car to add to the collection, Your like a kid at Christmas though and it's funny as hell to watch. You did get super lucky to find that is that close to movie correct and that is in as good of shape as that one is, good for you Mark I look forward to watching the episodes on that one as well. Just a note to you Mark, in 4 days I'm turning 65 years old and in October I am going to be officially retired, and after 49 years behind the wheel I'm looking forward to it, so hopefully we can get together once in awhile because I do plan on spending some time looking through garage sales and auction sales, I just might be able to find stuff your looking for.
