*Make sure before you order your new hinge that you make sure that you order the correct replacement hinge there are numerous different hinge styles which all have different hole/notch/cutout patterns and sizes.

*If you choose to do your own shower door hinge installation PLEASE be careful it is safety glass but it can still cause serious injury.

*Tools for the job- 4 Wood shims, P3 screwdriver (most common), P2 screwdriver (usually only seen on 1/4" doors), , or appropriate size Allen key.

What about replacing the brackets that hold the non-door glass parts to the tile?

What about when the door being hold by the shims it's the only acces to loosen the screws on the inside of the shower?

Could I do the same steps with a glass to wall hinge ? I don't know if I would have enough space to remove from wall with leaving door in place?

Any tips on a leaking shower door hinge, it's directly opposite to the shower head, hence direct water impact

Very helpful. My doors work OK and I have levelled them with this method before but one of the screw on caps for the hinge pin fell off.Some sort of double threaded arrangement in there I can't quite figure out. The pin backed out and is sticking up too far to put the cap back on. Looks like it just has to be tweaked in a bit, don't think it'll come apart but who knows.

On a single door the top hinge keeps loosening allowing the door to sag. The rubber gasket, I believe, has lost its grip. Is it really hinge specific or can I use a thin, tacky rubber square? Also, the door and panels don't have a full cutout but holes drilled for the screws.

I have that same hinge you started out with, there's 3 glass panels, the middle panel is the door, and the side panels are fixed. Our door will not stay closed. the gap up and down from where the door meets the side panel is perfect about 3/8 inch to 1/8 gap, nothings hitting. but when we close the door, it swings open about 10-15 degrees, very annoying. Can my hinge be adjusted to fix this issue? or do i need new hinges?

My shower door will only open a small amount and I can’t get inside to get to the screws. I’d like to try this but if I force the door I’m worried it may break. I’m at a loss as I now know the issue but just can’t get in to do it!

We just and a single ⅜ inch glass shower door installed with 2 nickel hinges. The glass door is mounted to the tiled wall but the glass door over time slips and the bottom sweep start rubbing on the tile floor. Is the door too heavy for only two hinges? Should the installer have used 3 hinges instead. The contractor claims we slam the door to hard and won't come out to fix the problem. Any ideas on what we can do? Awaiting comments! Thanks!

mine is making a snap sound when I close my door. opening it makes no sound. Sounds like its coming from the bottom hinge. Can I leave it as it is or is it something I need to replace asap? thanks

My shower door use to close all the way. Now it swings open 1/8 to 3/16" letting water leak out. I think I have the same hinges. Is there a way to adjust them to help keep door shut?

I want to replace the hinge and gasket in my shower door (glass to glass) are all hinges standard size or do I need to get a similar hinge as the original? I cant see the manufacturers name/part number so not sure how to find the replacement hinge.

My shower door hing broke. There is lot of calcium build up and I can't turn the screw. I tried spraying WD40 but didn't work. Do you have any suggestions? The screen is starting to strip so I am trying to find a way to loosen it.

if i have to replace the gasket, will any type of gasket work as i am unable to see the brand of my shower hinge? Or alternatively, should i be replacing the entire hinge?

My two hinges broke and the distance between holes that I measures is not standard, it is about 1.25 in apart. It appears to be European company that’s not on a market anymore. What do I do?
