My best advice for decorating is go with something that is timeless and not super trendy. Trends come and go, but a nice timeless feel will always be in style. I am almost bed ridden due to a chronic illness and the days that get long and dreadful, you are always able to make me laugh and can physically feel the love you two have for each other, as well as your subscribers. I’m not sure if you have ever lived in Utah, just moved to Utah, or had only visited……but I noticed your sweatshirt and I am a lifelong resident of Utah and love it. Hey guys! I’ve been such a fan for a long time now. U guys are so awesome and bring so many of us happiness through life’s journey. My wife and I have had some very difficult times over the past few years with our son who is handicapped. So often we feel down and defeated and I kid you not… when I need a smile and a laugh, I turn to your guys channel. Thank you for being a blessing to a total stranger.

For the couch and tv problem you should check Mantel Mount you can pull your tv down for movie time and move it back when it’s not in use!

Beautiful home! The alcohol room on the main floor, could be used as a main floor laundry room. Very convenient as it's right next to your mudroom, and the master bedroom.

Love your new house congrats! In no way am I an interior designer but had some suggestions. The TV downstairs as it does look high for eye sight could hang it on the blank wall at a lower height may need another size lounge to fit the space as it would need to rotate to face TV. As you have 2 beautiful feature lights in the dining/lounge space could just replace the ones over the kitchen with white downlights and let the dining/lounge pendants be the feature. Upstairs suggestion could then hang your cow artwork above the fireplace downstairs.
Bring your comfy lounge upstairs and place where piano located hang the TV on the wall where the cow artwork is currently located so could be a cosy movie night space. The room where you guys love morning coffee looks like a beautiful space could be nice to set up music creative space and bring the white storage shelf in the random storage room to use as a storage cabinet. ❤

I absolutely love your new house! Congrats on your new home 🫶 As a fellow passionate reader, I’d definitely turn the room upstairs into a small library with cozy lounge space for reading, or maybe combine the reading area with a music studio for Talia. Can't wait to see what the result will be!!

I think I would look at some closet management systems as that would really help you with storage.
Having that downstairs room where your alcohol is, as another storage room with shelves sectioned off for linens, maybe games, other items that you need to store. Having a proper home for everything is so nice.
Also in your mud room, I would add some shelves under the bench so you could store your shoes better. That way they won't come out in the walkimg path as far.
Just a few suggestions. It is a beautiful home and I am so happy for you both!
