As a lifelong New Yorker, I always bring first time visitors on the Staten Island ferry. You get a great statue view and downtown skyline. And it will always be free

Thank you for warning people about the scammers and con men who stand near Battery Park and aggressively accost tourists and sell them fake tickets. Anyone going to the statue should be well aware of this.

These are the kinds of videos I need. Not just overhyped, 'everything is amazing' tourism videos with 0 research. Just some honest insights into what's worth the $ and what isn't.

I went to Coney Island as a solo female traveller, in April. The place was DEAD and it was just me. I had the entire place to myself, I got to go on all the cool rides without screaming kids, oppressive heat or chaos. Then I walked down to Brighton Beach, got some vareniki to go, and ate them on the beach. 10/10 experience.

I've been to all twenty of your attractions, and the only quibble anyone might have is the order that you rank them in. But each and every one of these is spot-on for both pros and cons. Well done and highly recommended.

One small correction: at the Intrepid Museum, it's not a replica of the Enterprise space shuttle, it's the real thing.

My first trip to NYC, I paid for 3 things and they were all worth it: Empire State Building (lower observation deck), Central Park pedicab tour (booked and paid for in advance) and the City Sights hop on, hop off bus (also booked and paid for in advance). The bus offered 4 tours in addition to the hop on, hop off option. It also included a boat ride that went out by the Statute of Liberty and admission to the Museum of the City of NY which was basically an ode to Joel Grey (big waste of time). My second trip I did a bicycle tour of Central Park (also booked and paid for in advance) and the particular guide I had was phenomenal! I also went to the 911 Memorial, which I think every American should visit at least once, if possible. The rest of my trips were spent enjoying the architecture of the main Library, Grand Central, and the Waldorf Astoria, and spending an afternoon in Battery Park. All of which was free. The High Line was not even conceived of at that point, so I will be sure to do that the next time I make it up there. I'm also interested in seeing The Cloisters and visiting a couple of museums.

I visited NYC with my adult sons in September 2022 and made the journey down to Coney Island purely due to the fact I love the Warriors movie. I couldn't not go. It was dusk when we got there so it was all lit up and it was still light enough to walk on the beach and look out over the water. I'm glad I made the effort.

My trip to the statue of Liberty was memorable to me. It's where my hard earned branded wrist watch was lost when I passed through the security. I took it off and placed it in the tray together with my wallet and camera (like the TSA experience). When I picked them up on the other side, I didn't notice my watch and thought I must have placed it in my bag. But as I am walking away I searched my bag and played back in my mind what I did. After being sure that I've put it in the tray, I ran back and asked the security staff to check on it but they were quick to say that they didn't see anything. They recommended that I fill up a form in the Lost&Found office which of course didn't help.

For Broadway shows, if you go during Broadway Week, which usually happens in Feb and Sept, tickets are BOGO. I've done that a few times, especially with friend groups.

Thank you for including a note about “no smiling selfies” in the 9-11 memorial. See many taking tacky photos, smiling big or taking group selfies around the foundations. So disrespectful 😢

Thank you for this list! I am disabled so going to attraction sites takes some research. Your video gave me a lot of foresight on what I can or can not do! This is a huge help. So grateful to you and your channel!

I’m from NYC but currently live in Fl. I love visiting as a tourist. I cried at the 9/11 Memorial. I was so emotional- I couldn’t talk. I was on a group tour with mixed company so you had people from other countries, states and even those who weren’t born yet when it happened. I can understand that lots of people aren’t emotionally connected to it but I found it so disrespectful to see people laughing and smiling while vlogging or taking selfies. It’s a place of observance and reflection.
