I got the same about a month ago and wasn''t sure at first. It's mounted just like yours on a fence post. Worked Brazil earlier on CW - over 3, 500 miles on 20W. Also NJ, USA on 10W. Could probably have gone lower on both.

I just bought this antenna a noticed while I was putting it together there is something rattling around in the transformer. Does yours do that?/

I have this antenna, its great, Its my primary antenna. Yeah it has some resistors in it, big deal. On digital this this rules.

Interested in your experience w ground mounting. I just installed mine this last weekend at about 12 feet above ground and at least on the meter the SWR’s look great on 40 and 20. Did you try a counterpoise ?

Thanks for sharing. Is it really 4.5 lbs? Should that read 45lbs? I'm amazed if it's actually that light. How does it do in a light 30mph breeze?

Hi there. I have bought one of these antennas, works well but not very good on 7.1mhz. Wonder what you think of it on this band? I have had it mounted on a tripod in the garden and also on a fence but still the same. Look forward to any info. 73s de Derrick GW0LJW.
