Great video Sam .. coulda used this a few years ago. My Dad served USAF enlisted from 52-73, I served USAF enlisted 76-96 (too short to attend USAFA), My daughter graduated in 2020, my granddaughter is walking the Ramp this year. Fly high Falcons!! We're an Air Force family!

Visited USAFA about 5yrs ago. Amazing experience. Was during the summer and it appears there were remedial drills going on in the Terrazo for those cadets that needed some "offseason improvement". My only disappointment was the bookstore was closed that day because I wanted to buy a USAFA t shirt! I tried to sneak into the football stadium but it was locked up pretty tight. So much respect for the students at USAFA and all the military academies. Its not an easy life and they all chose a more difficult path on purpose.

I'm a retired VET. Both of my nephew's which one of them was a Class of 2024, it was my first time attending the USAFA graduation best experienced ever. Now, the younger brother of the two will be graduating in a few weeks, his accomplishment's is truly amazing. Out of 950 cadets in his class, he was rated at #117 eight months ago, he is now in the Top 10.. He was also selected in the Flight program, just incredible accomplishments. So, this will be a very special ceremony for the entire family, proudly to be an uncle to both gentlemen. Thank you for sharing everything about the USAFA, Semper Fi!!!!

As a senior in high school, I understand the pain and stress of going through the college application process. I would suggest starting early and staying organized. Make a list of all the schools you're interested in and their deadlines. Also, take advantage of any resources your school offers, such as guidance counselors or college fairs. Practice for nomination interviews with friends or family, and make sure to research the school beforehand so you're prepared. Remember to take breaks and prioritize self-care during this challenging time. Good luck!

My dad graduated in '96, 2nd Squadron, Deuce. I grew up in Colorado Springs and played hockey a lot at the Field House, among many other visits to the Academy for class reunions, etc. One of my most cherished memories of my dad was watching him and his roommate frolicking on the Terrazzo, both in their late 40's with big gray beards 😂. Super cool video, love the Academy and it's been a big part of my life.

It was my huge privilege to serve as civilian faculty at the Math Dept several years ago. I miss my colleagues especially those who were so helpful when I navigated the unique academic atmosphere!

I retired from McClellan AFB CA in the procurement of Weapons and Communication Systems. The BEST 25 years of my life in the administration of the cutting edge of technology weapons and communication systems - Global Reach. It was my good fortune and honor to work beside military officers and enlisted to procure the best to PROTECT and keep our armed forces out of harms way. If my base didn't close I would still be working. I LOVE my job and is miss my USAF family. Aim High!

My dad is alum class of 1980 and my parents got married at the chapel. I joined as enlisted and wish I pushed myself in high school to attend the Academy. Great video!

I wish I had been aware of the wide range of military branches available to me during my time in high school. If only I had known, I would have made different decisions and crafted a completely different life plan.

However, I am immensely thankful that the Army provided me with a roof over my head when I needed it. With that being said, I hope my children will consider the possibility of attending the Air Force Academy in the years to come.

You managed to find the civilian equivalent of the A-Jacket. How appropriate! Great video it really brings me back. Not much has changed.

Great vid as always Sam! I’m a freshman in high school right now. I’ll be attending the Air Force Academy so that I may pursue my childhood dream of becoming an a United States Air Force fighter pilot. I have everything planned out thanks to God and I am going to be a leader in my marching band (hopefully drum major by junior year) and follow the Air Force core values in my life. I am going to take all AP/Honor classes in the next few years and do great on my SAT. I am going to be in varsity wrestling next year and I will do my very best. I will do whatever it takes. Till then, Hooah! 🇺🇸🦅
