I like that the actor is an actual Russian, Because Russian characters mostly played by non-Russian actors like ScarJo as Black Widow or Drago from Rocky etc

Yulian really felt authentically Russian without being a stereotype

Love how he takes a bump then proceeds to dance like no one is watching. This scene encapsulates a psychopath, he seems on the outward a very likable guy, someone you want to be around and the life of the party and in the split of a second he can murder someone with his bare hands.

Aleksey Serebryakov did such an awesome job with the character of Yulian. I wish this could have been a series just so we could see more of him. In a span of 5 minutes, Yulian walks through moving traffic, cheerfully says "Hi! 👋🏼😁" to the bouncer, takes a shot and bump, sings on stage, and murders a mob captain with a martini glass. This guy is mentally all over the fucking place, I loved it 😂😂😂

This big scary mob boss walks all serious like into a club, I'm thinking, "here we go, this is the evil Russian" then he proceeds to take off his jacket and start dancing like a drunk on wedding night. This scene is great

How Serebrykov plays it is brilliant. Probably western auditory don't recognize all nuances that understandable for Russian. His personage is parody on crazy-russian, not actual character of real mobster, and he do it fantastically.
