Being able to criticise yourself BUT never shaming yourself for a mistake, instead relentlessly pursuing betterment.

Just bought 48 laws of human nature. Single dad 50 years old, considering dating again. I got one chance to get it right. Great read. Thank you Mr Greene.

Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine made me rethink everything society taught me about money. Feels almost illegal knowing this stuff—probably why it’s hidden from you.

The end is what struck me in a humorous and honest way. We all have fallen guilty of it as well.

“Masculinity is the capability of being a bomb, maturity is knowing when to light the fuse”

I like someone who can have a fleshed out conversation & look at all different viewpoints even if they hurt. I like someone who’s rational but has emotional depth.

Well said. A strong masculine trait is being calm, brave, and strong in the face of fear. Emotional outbursts are the least masculine thing a man can do. Completely controlling your emotions is impossible but being able to recognize that self control is imperative is a masculine trait.

Emotional sensitivity isn’t masculinity— self-control is. A man who can't control his emotions is a liability to himself and everyone around him. Masculinity is about staying composed under pressure, not breaking down like a child. If you let emotions control you, you're weak. If you control them, you’re powerful.

Here’s how to build ironclad emotional control:

1. Kill the Reaction Instinct – When something triggers you, pause. Don’t react instantly. Train yourself to absorb the hit without flinching.

2. Detach from Your Feelings – Your emotions are just signals, not commands. Recognize them, but don’t obey them. Your logic should always lead.

3. Face Discomfort Relentlessly – Seek out what makes you uncomfortable. Hardship makes you stronger. The more you expose yourself to difficult situations, the less power they have over you.

A man who masters his emotions masters his world.

I really need to read Rules Of Power all the way through. Just the first two rules have been useful and they’re written in a way that you cant forget.

Wow, that’s one of the best and most spot on definitions I ever heard what masculinity really is.

Wish Will Smith read your books before he had that crazy night at the Oscars.

A lot of people who don’t know what masculinity is think it’s all about losing control of your emotions when all it is, is just someone who’s in panic mode.

Men who are a masculine use strategy.

I got that technique from the 33 strategies of war and the 50th law.

One thing to keep in mind: comments may appear to be emotional even when they're not. It's the nature of written communication.
Sometimes a comment is actually well thought out and levelheaded, but if it also proves the reader's opinion/worldview wrong (especially if that opinion/worldview is part of the reader's self-proclaimed identity as a person) then the reader will get emotional and start projecting emotionality into said comment as an attempt to deal with his/her own shaken confidence and/or as an attempt to discredit the entire comment.
