As someone who moved from Budapest to London, comparing the two is interesting.

- I love the humid air in London, it makes me feel free.

- However I find it a lot harder to make friends here. People are nice but the conversations aren't substantial.

- The economy really is alive and breathing in general, there's always a lot of business to be done here and room to expand.

- It's multicultural but none of the represented cultures go to exhausting lengths. Sometimes quantity drowns quality in terms of culture here. You get so many Ghanaian, Bangladeshi etc. Shops here that you can't really immerse yourself in any, including the indigenous British culture.

My conclusion is that it's a superficial melting pot but with a good swing and uptempo business. I can't imagine my life as an elder here, but right now I'm just fine.

I worked in London for two years, really didn't like the place and am glad to be out of there, but... if I had to pick out a few things I did like then they would be:

Theatres (love to see a live show)
Museums (lots of them and they're mainly free)
Greenwich Park (like being able to go somewhere that I can see the horizon and don't feel like I'm in the city)
The Prince Charles Cinema (fantastic independent venue with a programme of classics and cult movies)
The Bill Murray Pub (comedy venue where you can see big names trying out new material)
TV Recordings (being able to see things like QI being recorded for free was great)
The Tube (while it can be overcrowded and horrible, it is a great way of getting about quickly)

While all these things were fun, it really wasn't enough to balance out the misery of being in London, so I got out while I could!

Try living here! Expensive rents, noise, pollution, local communities decimated, terrorism.... On the plus side, people are open(when not on the tube) free museums, loads of history and yes it's humungous!

I like name of the city LONDON so when we say London it like somewhere especial 😊 I was in UK but I had very short time to visit London

Loads of better cities in england than london mate, and better for football, people and food
