As a retired family physician, I am thankful for the information you provide. It helps me keep up on the latest research in areas that I too am interested in. I think you nailed it in describing the dilemma of primary care providers. Unfortunately many people have a hard time understanding the dynamic quality of scientific consensus, or the broken economic drivers of our heath care systems. Keep up the good work!

clinical guidelines recommending against testing is part of that broken healthcare system. I was taking 1000 UI of vitamin d3 a day for years and decided to test. My results came back deficient, I moved it up to 5k a day and now I'm at healthy levels. Medicine 3.0 requires an individualized approach rather than broad recommendations.

I watch only a few very smart doctors on you tube, no health influencers. Sometimes I do hear conflicting information, but it’s based on how they are viewing the data. I watch your channels and others to hear about the latest studies. I believe doctors are human and studies can be perceived in different ways. You do a great job in presenting and explaining studies and information. Please continue doing what you’re doing! It’s appreciated.

Brother, the percentage of viewers that will comment is small. The percentage of those viewers that can intelligently understand your points, studies and do their own research is slim to none. Okay, what does this mean? Do not take comments too seriously Doc. Maybe do another video on how studies should be interpreted and how they are misinterpreted. Most people’s background doesn’t come from the world scientific research so they find it hard to find good information. Maybe talk about how people can educate themselves on getting real information.

Thank you for posting. I"m lucky in that I now have a Doctor in Austin, Texas whose platform will allow you an hour to go over test results and any side concerns you may have. We don't have healthcare in the U.S we have sick care as insurance doesn't cover prevention or functional doctors to find the cause and not the symptom.

Thanks for your honesty about the system. It is broken and what makes the matter worse is wrong clinical guidelines received during the pandemic that were driven by profits and not health. People should think for themselves and not listen to the media, especially when no one is allowed to question the system.
