In the 1940s Hughes would pilot experimental aircraft, one day he was flying a twin engine plane that suddenly went out of control. His aircraft crashed into a home and Hughes was burnt over 80 percent of his body. Hughes also broken almost every bone in his body. The impact of the crash was so violent that it pushed his heart to the other side his chest cavity. He sustained massive head trauma but after his discharge he became addicted to pain killers bring in constant pain and still ran companies employing over 40, 000 employees.

Howard Hughes was in a horrifying plane crash when he was just a young man. It's truly a miracle that he had any semblance of a life after the plane crash. He was forced to take pain medications for the rest of his life to get some relief from the pain he endured constantly. He actually lived for a surprisingly long period of time, considering especially his condition after that terrible airplane crash . ✈️

Hughes Medical which is still a going concern is one of the worlds greatest research institutions on earth. That alone makes for a laudable life. Very very interesting guy. Sort of like the Elon musk of his time decades and decades ago.

He produced the original Scarface in 1932. There is speculation he died from a disease that he may have gotten from the blood transfusions he purposely received. They say he had all the symptoms. Wasting away syndrome is what some think he had. Do not quote me I read this somewhere years ago.
