Michael J. Fox also wore this watch while starring as Alex P. Keaton in "Family Ties" which was his 1980's TV series. It looks like from around Season 3 into end of the series in Season 7 he wore this same model Casio CA-50 watch. If you go onto Youtube and look at clips of Alex P. Keaton (Michael J. Fox) from the later seasons of the series, you'll see he's wearing this watch in almost every episode, and with all his dress suits I must add hehe. It looks like the first two seasons he's wearing a Casio CA-80 or something like that. A lot of people relate this watch to Marty McFly, but I also relate this watch to Alex P. Keaton too hehe. The Alex P. Keaton character personna was an opposite to the Mary McFly character personna for those that don’t know of the show. Alex wore only dress clothes or suites even as a teenager (with his Casio CA-50 watch lol), he was an economics major and was a child prodigy, and he hated Rock N Roll music instead only listened to Jazz and Big Band.

I had that watch too! LOL... I have to say, it was perfect futuristic watch back in the day. While I was a contractor, it was great for everything from normal calculations to doing payroll for the guys. I wonder where that watch is now. It never failed me. I just went to other types of time keeping. Hey, I have that Aqualand available for sale... Not sure what I want for it. Somebody make me an offer! It is near mint! Meaning, it was serviced by Citizen a couple of times since 1992. Bezel was replaced by them, even though the old one was perfect. I guess they just replace it with the warrantee services.

is the CA-55 and CA-50 numberpad identical to the the CA-53W? i want to get a CA-55 or a CA-50 as my first genuine vintage casio calculator watch, but most have perished numberpads, also do they take the same straps? thanks in advance!

I just found one of these at an estate sale yesterday. The resin strap unfortunately crumbled to pieces. Do you know if they sell replacement straps??

Hey man great video I want to applaud you on getting the back to the future films ride to that 1 CA 50 was in so many people get it wrong they think that they see a 53 was in the first back to the future but it wasn’t I know I was there and 51 and I’ve always had a thing for Calculator washes since I saw back to the future is my all-time favorite movie and to this day I still wear the C8 53 but I have been looking and searching high and low for a CA 50 in good condition that I can afford would you be interested in selling that one? The last one I saw was $420 and being on full time disability I sadly couldn’t afford it… but seriously I have been obsessed with that watch since 1985 that’s almost 39 years and if he did sell it to me I can promise you I will take very good care of it and it would certainly make an old man happy please consider and respond back to me if you can thank you!!
