Personally, I like how there is a lot of expression and thinking with the characters. It’s really refreshing. For example, on the Patio, Suzan has to take a few seconds to get used to not going to Paris, and it’s shown non-verbally. Another example is when the soldier at the Robot site had to catch himself and give orders without freaking out. Most characters are not stagnant.

I was there for one of the test screenings when I was a kid - it made my childhood, and I've been searching for the full movie ever since. I don't know whether it's on Netflix or not, but I remember loving it, and wanting to see it again.

Believe it or not but this movie was my childhood. I would drive my parents nuts watching this over and over again. It does have good jokes, cool animation, a nice story, and memorable characters. I understand it is not everyone's cup of tea and that's ok. I am glad that you thought it was good though.
