Blackening Stainless Steel Bolts - VLOG

Rusting black oxide bolts are now a thing of the past with this Stainless Steel blackening solution!

After learning that my bolts were rusting on one of my products immediately set out to find a solution. Many hours of searching I found no one was offering a sensible solution for a black button head bolt!!
I stumbled across this blackening product on ebay and thought it was worth a try, and boy was it worth it.

Very nice video. I have the same problem with some prototypes, and I will try this method. My screws are not easy to find as they are M2 self-tapping, but with this method, I think I can manage it

I'm forced to use galvanized steel screws. This method will work on them too?

If i was applying this blackening to stainless parts that are attached to something would this affect the non stainless around the part if it was to get on them ie plastic & foam?

So as we all know if school we have a desk under the table to what I do is I brake the desk using my knee then the bolts fall off

I do it since the bolts are still got the chrome finish and my bike bolts are rusted

this is just a cosmetic conversion coating which will fade very soon. then you will have ugly faded bolts...
