Finally announcing the good news, with my personal strategies that could also help you land your next role in UX. I finally got around to filming this to share. I've been busy with work, and already learning a lot. Missed designing and excited to be back. :)

Here's the video introduction/elevator pitch I sent to the hiring manager. This got me the interviews that landed me role:

First of all Congratulations sister for your success 🎉🎉🎉…..Secondly A friend of mine once said to me “It’s easy to find a job, but hard to find a good job” That hits me hard. Another friend of mine is a design lead, it took 6 months of searching to get a job that he always wanted. Now, he is pro. He had numerous offers to join, but he rejected all of them till he got somewhere he’d love to work. I hope my comment makes everyone feel a bit better. 😊

Congratulations! I’m a new subscriber but I’m so glad to see this video! I was bummed out after getting yet another rejection from a company I was excited to work for, and honestly as junior product designer it’s rough out here. But Im glad God and YouTube placed you in my algorithm a couple of days ago. Can’t wait for you to take us along on your new journey! 🎉🎉

Congrats on landing a job that checked so many boxes! The type of product you wanted, plus a great team to learn from, AND is fully remote to enable you to live the life you want for yourself?! What a win!! Look forward to the next chapter of your channel ❤

Happy for you, Lily Congratulations!
But why do I feel like this never stops you mentioned video intro. I feel that is becoming a common thing, so now resume, video intro, portfolio, slide decks etc. while other high paying professions just submit a resume and go through the interview. The grind is something that newbies should definitely consider.
Nonetheless, congratulations lily!😊

Congrats on landing your job! I've been running the interview gauntlet and getting to final rounds with the whiteboard challenge. The majority of the feedback i recieve is positive, they like my process, structure and planning but say i'm not trusting my instincts and being more intentional with my recommedations. I'm a PD with over 10 years expereince and now I'm being rejected at this stage. Appreciate your videos and your transparency. Wondering where I should really double down on providing recommendations in my exercise?
