Terminal Velocity: Boosted Edition - Official Launch Trailer

Terminal Velocity: Boosted Edition is an updated version of the original 360-degree combat flight simulator, Terminal Velocity, running natively on modern systems with the Infernal Engine. Rendering the original graphics with an improved HUD for widescreen displays, battle across a variety of different planets using your high-powered weapon arsenal to aid you in all of the fast-paced action. Terminal Velocity: Boosted Edition is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC with PlayStation and Xbox versions coming at a later date.

This looks like a terrific remaster of Apogee's original 1995 release of Terminal Velocity! (We used our 3D Realms sub-label back then--but it was Apogee who co-created the game with the dev studio, Terminal Reality, and then we released it as shareware). Tom Hall was our Producer on Terminal Velocity and really helped shape the game and its story.

Anyway, looks amazing!

This nearly 30 year old game was so ahead of its time it is unbelievable. Buttery smooth framerates, the textures and the free roaming aspect. And everything in software, no hardware acceleration there.

Oh wow so that's the game we had at the primary school PCs. That and Chasm the Rift, also remastered and released on Xbox.

This looks an awful like Fury 3 on PC (Windows 95). One of favorite PC Games as a kid. Played Fury 3 on the family desktop for hours & hours. The bosses were so big and cool looking.

Oh its original graphics hmm.. It is quite sad all these games really looked great with CRT. But oh well.. better than nothing
