Let's be honest, the reason why we didn't see the whole fight with Mereoleona and Princia is that it would take up the entire run time for the final battle, and the animation team would have to go beyond their limits to animate the whole fight and break the budget to do so 😂😂. I would love to see an hour or half-hour special of just their fight; that would be epic. 😍😍🤩🤩

Remember that when Asta saw Lucius (the guy with 100% of Licifero’s power in base) he said there was no way Julius would lose to him also Lucius says he’s stronger than Julius as if it’s some massive flex.

Julius is actually pretty broken.

He could also stalemate the ancient demon that Asta needed Devil Union to defeat.

Honestly you could just argue Julius was being nerfed by Lucius in the Patry fight

That Julius downplay/reasoning for why he wouldn’t be busted with infinite mana is CRAZY

Asta is one half of the time devil astaroth hence why the symbol on his head band represents half of the symbol seen on when time magic is used. They’ve been telling us from the beginning that the devil lives in the fifth leaf. Asta and yuno are almost exact parallels, yuno is loved by mana while asta is hated or out right rejected by it, he doesn’t get his own grimoire, he gets lichts 5 leaf, libe was also born without mana which is also unheard of. What if Lucius inadvertently split astaroth in 2 and eat his heart to gain his time magic, leaving his 2 parts without mana, eventually gaining anti magic, asta is the abnormality he can’t predict because he was never supposed to be anything more than nothing

I think the ranking thing is dumb.
Princia fought a Wizard King level opponent. She didn’t really lose, if that sword wasn’t destroyed they would’ve been still fighting.
Jester destroyed Yuno, Yami and the other captains by himself. His barrier magic is badass.
Edward did not fight them seriously at all. He was emotional and didn’t want to harm black bull. He literally could’ve one shot ice age killed them if he wanted.
All wizard kings are powerful as hell. Also remember. Princia is 22 jester 23 and achieved Wizard king

I had assumed that the reason for absolute zero not affecting them as bad was their mana skin similar to the Mereleona’s training.

note that Noelle did much much better against Vanica at 70% devil power while Yumo got no diff by zenon at 55%, even though they both lost noelle still did quite a lot of damage to vanica while yuno didn't do a scratch

so at this point in the movie Noelle is technically stronger

Hear me out yes julius lost but my man was making fighting light magic look like childs play it literally took him changing all his magic to defend the entire kingdom and a light speed attack from patry julius wasn't even fighting to win he was fighting to protect the kingdom and he knew the patry would be stopped and his kingdom would be safe so i honestly don't see why he would have gone all out in his battle and although its not truly his magic no one can deny that hes a beast with it

Catching someone who moves and reacts at the speed of light is difficult. Patri already knew that Julius was dangerous since Julius messed up his Patri's arm. The only reason that Julius lost was because Patri found out that Julius wouldn't kill Vangeance, letting him could go all out to make the distraction so that he could actually hurt Julius. Patri wouldn't have gotten a w in a deserted place.
Asta and Yuno weren't a match for dark elf Patri and Nozel trounced Patri because his magic's properties reflected light magic.
When Yami fought Dante, he remarked that he wasn't as good at predicting as Julius and Asta was impressed when Julius said that Gadja had a sparring match with him in the past.
When Lucius boasted that he was stronger than Julius, Asta proclaimed that he would surpass Julius then go beat Lucius.
Julius isn't anyone to sleep on.

I think in terms of match up xenon vs Jester would be interesting. The spacial magic would just be too much though
