A decent looking power play by the Habs. Unfortunately, still couldn't capitalize though. Goaltenders have figured out where Caufield is going to shoot, high, short side nearly every time. I think he needs to start varying where he's shooting, keep GKs guessing. He's too predictable. Anderson shouldn't be on the 2nd power play unit whatsoever. St. Louis might as well also put Colin White out there to match his uselessness. Put Jake Evans out there or even 2 D for the 2nd unit instead of Anderson. Caufield scored again for the 2nd match in a row, Slafkovsky had 1G 1A, Newhook 2A, and Suzuki with 1A. Leafs on Saturday at the Bell Centre. Seven more matches left in the season.

What a brutal hit on Ghule at the start of the game. You’d think it would be a suspension but I bet he won’t even get a hearing. Also, Newhook getting a breakaway blown down because of Xhekaj getting jumped on the other side of the ice is brutal.

Ylonen and Anderson making a line change on the 3-2 goal was quite stupid. With the Lightning defender skating the puck past them as they were leaving the ice, it should have been obvious they were creating a five-on-three for Primeau.

Kootch is such a heady player...he can move fairly fast and he has good enough hands, .etc can do the tik tok, party tricks, but he just KNOWS hockey. Thats his biggest weapon, his knowledge of what guys are going to do before they even do, etc. Just neat to REALLY watch what and how he is carrying this team. 60 ish points ahead of the next in points on his team!! That's insane!

Thought we might win getting another team on a back to back. We have the schedule maker on our side that’s for sure, and always Bell Center reffing. Oh well, moral victory we made some nice passes. Leafs bring Aussie Matts, Doms, Willie Nys and company into town Saturday. Meaningless game, but hope no hat trick for Richard winner. GHG!
