2016 Ford GT Insane Exhaust, Revs, Driving and Exclusive Walkaround

Vehicle Virgins captures the 2016 Ford GT at the Detroit AutoShow. The car is confirmed to have the ecoboost V6 producing "over 600hp." What do you all think of it?

I'm a bit indecisive on the new turbo V6 engine. I love the sound of the turbos but I mean it's a ford gt! It's suppose to have a mean V8!! Either way the thing will be a beast of a car that's for sure!!

When I first met the new GT I was on the fence about the motor, but recently I've been on an IndyCar kick and it's really got me seeing the utter beauty in the construction of this car. Its literally built to be a race car with a license plate. It has all the same pedigree as professional open wheel race cars. Hell even the fuselage shrinks down to a point after the cockpit like an open wheel car. The wheels jet out from the fuselage the same way except here they have their own tubs for aero and legal purposes, yet it's still the exact same concept as open wheel. The materials, the most modern ultra light weight, no expense spared pieces put together in a way to absolutely minimize the aero footprint to maximise the efficiency of every single horsepower. Speaking of which, even the motor is of IndyCar type pedigree, which is what really opened my eyes. I've always been a hardcore muscle car fan and of course was hoping for A V8 but researching this highest level of performance came to the conclusion that they picked the perfect motor for a car like this. A twin turbo V6 thats compact enough, lightweight enough, efficient enough, and yet potent enough to fit within the constraints of the ultra aero design, use just enough parts to be potent without adding too much to weigh the car down or create drag or reciprocal weight on the motor itself freeing up more power without even adding more performance, and yet still enough motor to coax enough power out to put this thing in an ultra performance level in conjunction with the weight and aero work. The previous Ford GT was really just a slick car with the best performance parts Ford had in its parts bins thrown in. It was a great car, but not a very well thought out car. THIS car was designed from the ground up for everything to work in conjunction with everything else to provide the ultimate in performance. THAT makes a very very special kind of vehicle that only a handful of cars in history can lay claim too. In comparison, this new Ford GT makes the Bugatti Veyron look like your neighbors fuckin Chevelle haha. Yeah it's big and powerful but...so what? It lacks everything else. That's the point of this car and it's accomplished beautifully

1:13 Even the suits have to give it a helping push up that tiny ramp with that V6 in there... What the hell were they thinking? The previous GTs' V8 was quite possibly Fords' best engine, and now, to put an 'ecoboost' motor in one... for fucks sake, who let the accountants in?

Before anyone goes bashing me, I love all motors, nothing wrong with a V6 (though I do prefer an inline6 myself), but it does NOT belong in a GT, period. lol If giving the Mustang a 4cyl option wasn't bad enough, now this.

I eventually got tired of seeing the original GTs so this is kind of a fresh twist on a track legend, I love the new GT

I love this! I just hope Ford doesn't go scrapping the GT even after the concept has been made. they did that with the GT90, and I honestly don't know why they even scrapped that, & if any1 here can inform me of why please do. :)

there is a lot of people dissing the new zo6 but get this that car is a fucking problem you know it i know it we all know that car is nothing to scoff at lets learn to love and appreciate both machines for their superb engineering speed and because they're murican...fuck yeah

I love how they improved on the fighter jet design. From the cockpit to the rear shot that makes this thing look like it has wings, this car is pure awesome!
