Welcome to the first iteration of our Knowledge Sharing Sessions! This week, we introduce Kiran Chhatre, a Ph.D. candidate at KTH, who will speak about motion synthesis!

Topic Description: The increase in popularity of different interactive media such as video games or virtual reality has increased the demand for automatic movement animation generation. In this session, we will have an interactive discussion on statistical movement generation techniques. We will talk about the importance of the choice of movement scenario and later explain the available family of machine learning and control techniques in the field of automatic movement generation.

Speaker Information: Kiran is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of EECS, KTH. His research addresses the core challenges of designing new techniques to create and control interactive virtual characters using machine learning, procedural modeling, and perceptual evaluations. To discuss similar interests, you can reach out to him through his contact page.
