British teacher on playground duty is someone who walks around with a mug of tea and a sour expression, telling any kid that comes up to them to 'bugger off and sort it out yourself'.

I'm a combination of the gossiper and the strict one. The other staff members and I will be talking, one of us will say "Oh, it's time" and then I'll blow my whistle and use my stage voice to say "line up!"
