In this devlog video, we dive into the game development challenges that we faced recently in building a map system for our metroidvania game and how we were able to overcome them.
We give 3 tips that got us through the hurdles, and hopefully will help you too if you find yourself in a tough spot during your own development journey.

If you're new to our channel, we're Brandon & Nikki from Sasquatch B Studios. We sold our house to start our game studio, and work full time on building our business and making our game, Veil of Maia.

I agree with all of your points here B, over the past year or so of game development I've come to think of a game as a wall, with patterned sections as features: adding a brick at a time, taking small steps can lead to big results. The pattern, and eventually the wall will be complete in no time! The second tip is definitely great advice too - just getting something down and functioning is the biggest step to iterating and progressing. Great vid as always you two!
