I was once lucky to spend time with a pair of river otters at a wildlife rehab place. They are unique and very special intelligent playful confident animals. Actually a humbling and enlightening experience.

I’ve got 2 tribes of intelligent otters in my fantasy project. One looks like sea otters and are a whole lot more chill while the others are huge and barbaric like Amazonian otters. I did not know about the whole necrophilia thing but now I won’t be able to sleep lol.

Otters are vicious! And if you play with them, especially River Otters aka "The River Wolf" in South America that get 6ft. You may not survive the encounter.
