storytime: A student in a class after finishing a test and handing it in says to his teacher "What are you listening too" and she says "momma and papa" and the student ask "Can I go see the nurse and call my parents" before passing out. It turns out the student had an aneurism and passed. The parents came to the school to discuss the passing with the head teacher and his teacher. Due to their grief they misheard the teacher said was their sons final words and thought they said "The student wanted to call their Momma and Papa" and were comforted because their son had not called them that since they were younger and the teacher decided not to correct them because "Sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve more. sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded"

To me, this quote and philosophy is an awful way to conclude an otherwise fantastic movie. The truth is all that we really have and all that will ever be. Believing that your faith should be rewarded with alternate truth is cowardice.
