Lenders BV is a family company in the broadest sense. We have been growing top-quality produce with great passion since 1969. As entrepreneurs in the world of horticulture we can draw from a wealth of experience.

We supply leek and asparagus plants of several different varieties. Which variety is most suitable for you will depend on your cropping plans, the condition of your soil, the climate and the market you supply. We will make every effort to meet all your requirements. Good, healthy planting material is essential for a healthy crop.

Lenders BV is the number-one specialist in leek plants. Our plants are available from week 8 until the end of week 36. We also have plots in Morocco and Portugal to enable us to supply early leek plants. The large amounts of sunlight and high temperatures in Africa and southern Europe ensure stable, sturdy and vigorous plants.

After harvest, the plants are immediately refrigerated in professional cooling facilities, from where they are transported to the Netherlands. The leek plants will be delivered normally 3 to 4 days after they have been harvested.

From our cultivation facilities in the Dutch town of Kessel we are able to supply early leek plants propagated in our greenhouses and tunnels as well as plants grown outdoors for your autumn and winter leek.

The plants for early summer leeks come from our advanced heated greenhouse. They are followed by the first outdoor plants propagated in plastic tunnels. This makes for a smooth transition, enabling you to continuously offer your customers optimum produce.

As you can see, in every stage of the process, we pay the very best care and attention to propagating our leek plants. This enables us to guarantee uniform plants of top quality throughout the entire season.
