Ye, the singer once known as Kanye West, reportedly claimed that security guards at the home he shared with Kim Kardashian had repeatedly prevented him from seeing their children.
In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked's Jason Lee, Ye reportedly revealed that a guard had stopped him outside Kim's Los Angeles home on a Monday morning as he was trying to take his children to school.
I was stopped by security on my way to pick up my children from school on Monday of this week. The rapper, now 44 years old, explained that he would not have let security stand between him and his kids.
But I was trying to avoid an argument over it. So I just vegged out, drove my kids to school and picked them up again," he explained.
According to Ye, his eldest daughter North asked him to come inside with her on the way back, but he was once again denied entry by the security officer, a condition he claims he never addressed with Kim after their divorce in February 2021.
My kid insisted that I come inside. He went on, "I was thinking, I'm the richest Black man and North's father, right, and the security was able to block me from entering into the room with my daughter and that had not been defined.
The 22-time Grammy winner speculated that the presence of Kim's new lover, comedian Pete Davidson, was at least largely responsible for his exclusion from the home.
"And I am hearing that the new boyfriend is actually in the house that I can't even go to," Ye added, adding that he had called family members to try to convey the idea that he refused to be denied visiting his children by a security officer.
Now you know where I can reach my cousins. And you know my cousin has strong opinions because I told you so. To which I said, "I need you to go and say these two things." No amount of security measures will come between me and my kids, and they won't be using TikTok without my knowledge or consent, stated Ye.
On his new track "Eazy," which he recorded with The Game and dropped last Friday, Ye vents part of his anger at the fact that his separated wife is someone Davidson.
Ye spits this near the end of his verse: "God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**." His jaw was wired shut after a horrific vehicle accident in 2002, which he mentions in this conversation.
A birthday celebration for their daughter Chicago was this past Saturday, and the rapper went live on social media to complain that Kim's family had refused to provide him the location.
Per TMZ's transcription of the live feed, Ye said, "...Just wishing my daughter a public happy birthday, I wasn't allowed to know where her party was."
