Thank you for highlighting this area. There are few doctors that really understand the impact of EPI (or PEI). Dr. Freedman is another good one to check for those suffering. He has an in
depth article on Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency written with Dr. Struyvenberg that anyone with EPI should read. Another really helpful resource was the book Primal Pancreas.

Enzymes help digest bust they dont attack the cause.

Pancreatic insufficiency could be due to malnutrition of certain aminoacids like taurine, carnosine, gaba, lack of melatonin production.

Also, they do not mention that fungal or bacterial biofilms can enclose the pancreas impeding its proper function.

Conventional of course medicine do not offer proper solutions yet for biofilm disruption unless its chemotherapy.

I don't have any of the know causes above but I did shudder from a campylobacter infection 6 years ago and h pylori 3 years ago. Both treated with antibiotics, PPI usage also. Since I got diagnosed I've had scans and blood tests. Only low in vitamin D and that's not abnormal for Irish folk and scans show zero signs of damage/scarring.

I think I may have sibo or affected by bacterial biofilm but my GI diagnosed me and seems to have forgotten about me. Been trying for weeks to see if I have bad bacteria overgrowth but it's like I'm being ignored and want more tests. Still got sterrorhea and almost on month 5 of PERTs with multiple dose increases with no Change.
