Marabastad community resists march against undocumented immigrants by Concerned Tshwane Residents

Residents of Tshwane in Gauteng are holding a mass protest in Marabastad about undocumented migrants operating businesses without paying taxes.
They are calling on the government to take immediate action.

As a South African myself I support you guys, we are not all xenophobic. I have been welcomed in Burundi and Ethiopia like I was at home and when I see my people fighting foreigners in my kasi it breaks my heart. asiguqule imiqondo yethu

Marabstad is a place we're people work together as if they are from two parents. They have whatsapp groups, they know each and every one, they contribute money together, it's amazing. The taxi drivers all of them have a network it doesn't matter where people come from, that's why it won't be easy to break them.

The government will have to quickly sort out this question of illegal and undocumented immigrant before it deteriorates into huge loss of life and big unrest. We are heading for big problems especially in this time if job shortages and dwindling incomes. There is no planning on the part of government and the stealing from state coffers are adding to the creation of dissatisfaction of citizens of this country.
