Mt. Aeneas - Ridgeline hike near Kalispell, Montana - HD

September 2020 hike of Mt. Aeneas. Just enough elevation gain to make it a workout, and just enough exposure to make it exciting! Around 7 miles and less than 2k feet of elevation gain. The long drive to the trailhead is bumpy, but a lighter vehicle can make it without 4WD. I did it in a half ton pickup and only needed 4x4 in a couple very steep spots. Lower clearance vehicles should be fine as long as you take it slow. Thick woods the first couple miles, so be bear aware. Great hike for dogs, but be cautious of steep drop-offs at the ridge. #hiking #mtaeneas #montana
