Sarará by Yamandu Costa performed by Maximillian Rudd

One of my favourite works by the great Brazilian composer guitarist Yamandu Costa, Sarará is inspired by the tale of a healer who rides from town to town on horseback. This piece is in the style of a chamamé, a dance that proliferates in the Pampas, encompassing northeastern Argentina, Uruguay and the southern border of Brazil where Yamandu was born and raised. Gaucho culture is a defining feature of this regional identity, one that transcends national borders and linguistic barriers. Viva a música gaúcha, viva o Rio Grande do Sol e viva o Yamandu.

Recorded live in February 2021.

Sound and video by Bom Dia Studios.

Ohhh i really love this song. Your version is just like how Yamandu play it in Continente album. I think this song is more suited to be played slower and more soulfully so the beautiful melody comes through.
