DIY Home Mold Test Kit Review

Here's a great DIY home mold test kit by Mold Armor. Find out if your house has mold within 48 hours. I had bad sinus issues for 2 years. Turns out I had a fungus in my sinus which I can attribute to mold in my environment as I had mold in my air handler. This kit helped me out. In my opinion, if you do an indoor air quality or HVAC test with this kit and only have 1 tiny spot of mold in the dish after 48-72 hours, I wouldn't be too concerned. But, if you do one of those tests and the dish is speckled with a lot of spots, then I'd be a bit concerned and look for the source of the mold. Here are some products to check out:

If it’s showing that there’s mold in your home, what’s the reason to send it to the lab if any type of mold is dangerous? I’m just asking to see if it’s necessary.

Do u have to let this sit for one hour closed to let the solution gel? Then u open it up and leave it in the suspected mold area for one hour?

I thought about this test but maybe predictably the mold inspectors I called said they aren’t good tests bc people always have mold in a house and it doesn’t te you if it’s old mold spores or new ones causing the growth VS their pump test where it will draw in “active “ spores .

I honestly don’t get the difference . You can get it tested and it will tell you what the issue is with mold .

Also, what molds do they test for with this kit? Do you send this to their testers or you send it anywhere? I think I saw this on amazon and you send it to them for testing .

I have so many questions about this tbh. I had an issue of a leak in my finished attic and there is no visible mold . Idk if it’s a bad idea to open up a piece and see.

Mold inspections won’t even cut it up I don’t think? And if they do, do they isolate the area in which they are looking behind walls etc.

I feel like looking behind walls is really the only way to find it. Their testing is like 200 a sample and then 300 something for them just to show up

I believe we have mold growing, but the husband says we don’t, but I am going to order a test and we will see! Curious though on what you did and how much it cost to fix this issue!?

Remove carpet from home and put tile, linoleum or similar flooring. Sweep and Mop daily.
Only open doors and windows early in morning sunrise and close within 2 hours. Spray colloidal silver in nose, eyes and mouth, try manuka honey, ...and last but not least... Move to another city or state! 👍

For incubation period do you have to keep it away from sunlight or doesnt matter? Thanks. Just checking an apartment bedroom for mold.
