Parenting a child with special needs can be a little overwhelming at times. This is why we have respite care to provide parents with a break. In this video we will show you how to access your respite funding options. We are going to explain the different funding options available in Ontario that will allow you to take some time for yourself to complete other tasks and give attention to other parts of your life. There are a few options available, such as; Special Services At Home (SSAH), Enhanced Respite Funding (ERF) and Assistance for children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD).

I live in Ontario I was diagnosed with a minor developmental disability I was sent to restbit care every month from 12 until 18 I just found out a year ago that alot of the stuff that people did to me at restbite care was unfortunately mental and physical abuse alot of them got away with it there was one guy there that relised that I got mistreated I did not realize that what happened to me at restbite was abuse for a long time because I already dealt with it at my own home and school as well so what I thought happened at restbite I thought was Normal because I already was being treated similar other places often victim don't relise there being abused because happened so regularly that they think it's normal I realized I was being mistreated at other places like school and home a long time now but with my brain being overwhelmed with getting mistreated at other places I wasn't realising that it happened there to that's often what happens unfortunately that happens alot and we'll some people get sent to restbit not because of disability but because the kids are acting out because of what's going on at home it's very unfortunate
