From 2017 to 2023, i owned the MSI 1050 2gb with 2 fans! It went through some overclocking and overheating problems here and there. Me being a lot younger (teens) and new to this sort of thing back then, i over volted the card thinking that it would improve fps and the card would crash and hit mid 90°c most of the time because i did not hear of the word "fan curve" before. Throughout those years, the gpu has just been incredibly resilient despite how weak it is compared to the modern beast of cards we have today and I've been learning how overclocking actually works and why it isn't really needed.

The gpu has never failed on me throughout those years, the fans were never replaced and only needed 2 thermal paste renewals within those 6 years. Unfortunately though the card did stop working fully in 2023 as it kept restarting and had no display. I already knew the 1050's end was near so for christmas, i treated myself with the Asus strix gtx 980 for a year until recently upgrading to the Radeon 6600xt! With modern cards, overclocking is just not needed at this point

Just retired the 4gb model from my old emulation PC. Paired with a Ryzen 3 2200g. It ran everything up until PS3. So finally had to build a new machine this year.

I'm just retiring GTX 1050ti Gainward last month after 2 years of use, already upgraded to RX 6700XT Red Devil on 210$ (Great Price for this year).

1050ti is such an awesome GPU, but For the price in 2022 not good as much that I can afford it, it cost me 240$.. (miner took away The best GPU such as RTX 2060 or 3060 on the market) make it the price so higher, Before my plan was using RTX 3060ti or 2060 super on 2022, but when I'm coming to PC Builder shop, they only give me two option of GPU, 1050ti Gainward which is cost 240$ and GTX 1650 Colorfull cost me more than 1050ti prices it's around 270$ cause RTX series on their store already bought by Miners or by GPU Scavengers. They only have one RTX 2060 super They cost me around 550$ 💀

My budget for build a Gaming PC back on 2022 was 650$

Welp it isn't a great deal, so I'm decide choose 1050ti for 2 years of gaming.

For me, 1050ti is good for playing on 1080p

My 1050 just refused to start Elden Ring (in the minimum requirement it wants 1060 with 3 gigs )

For 1080 it's a weak card, it could be good for 1024x1280, with a 20-inch screen the game could look good
