SCARLET WITCH MOVIE CONFIRMED! Scrapped Multiverse of Madness Plan

The original plans for Wanda Maximoff in the MCU, and how they could shape a Scarlet Witch solo movie.

News broke this week that appears to indicate that Disney is developing a Scarlet Witch solo movie to release in 2026. This could pick up Wanda Maximoff’s story following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the upcoming Agatha All Along. But could this film incorporate some of the original plans for the Scarlet Witch character that were scrapped for the Doctor Strange sequel? The allegation that Michael Waldron hadn’t seen WandaVision makes SO much sense if true, and it also makes me frustrated that someone working with a character in marvel would apparently not need to know what the character has gone through recently to write for them

Wongs death being a core part of the original plan makes a lot of sense. Wong being sorcerer supreme has always felt temporary as if we are just waiting for the title to return to the true supreme sorcerer, doctor strange. especially given that Steven strange was only sorcerer supreme for 2 movies. Wong has now held the title throughout 4 apearences. I always wonder how they planned to return the title to Steven, killing off Wong has got to be my least favorite option.

I actually really like M.O.M. for what it is but the difference between WandaVision's Scarlet Witch and M.O.M.'s Scarlet Witch is vast and definitely abrupt. I STRONGLY feel that if you're going to be working on a movie like this that HEAVILY features a beloved character like Scarlet Witch, you should learn who and what they are before you start writing for a character you know nothing about.

While Multiverse of Madness was overall fun for me, my biggest gripe with it is the injustice they inflicted on Wanda’s character. It’s like the movie basically ignored Wanda’s journey in WandaVision, and that really disappointed me.

well on the topic with Wong, he’s been uselessly used and moreso as a joke after MoM, and as beloved as he is, movies like these should kill off characters to make stakes higher. It’s why Quantumania fell flat — Scott and Hope should’ve been left trapped in the quantum realm because the movie set up all the warnings about getting yourself trapped. A sacrifice of some kind would’ve been a fantastic cliffhanger.

I hope a scarlet witch movie will come out, she's been my favourite character. I was so happy with wandavision. And i'm sad we didn't se the original script for multiverse of madness cause wanda deserves more

That's one tough question!!! Multiverse of madness was fresh, unique, excited. At least if felt that way for me. Loved it. But that original script made more sense. What they SHOULD have did was make multiverse of madness like a WHAT IF special presentation

Weird how Jessica Clemons keeps saying that Wanda is Dead. FORGETTING the Number One Comic Book Troupe "if you don't see a body then they are not and even when you see the body they still might bring them back to life. 😇
